With the Academy, the Foundation Development and Climate Alliance offers its supporters a well-founded guide to the voluntary carbon market.

Under the motto ‘Fundamentals, practice and challenges of voluntary offsetting under the new framework conditions of the Paris Agreement’, supporters take part in the multi-day education and training format – the Academy.

The Academy was developed together with experts to provide committed supporters with effective and in-depth tools.

The Academy provides you, as a supporter of the Alliance, with relevant support for the current challenges of the voluntary carbon market. Tailored to your specific needs, the offer is variable and flexible in terms of time. The scope and budgeting are based on your pre-defined requirements.

What you can expect from the Academy:

Overview of the theoretical foundations: The relevant scientific principles are continually updated with pertinent information and prepared for you.
Information on current developments: In recent years in particular, there have been many new initiatives and projects that we can present to you. We organise the extensive, diverse information for you so that you can follow the latest developments.
Presentation of practical examples: We give you an insight into projects, laws, directives, restrictions, successes and failures.
Overview of different points of view, opinions and areas of conflict in the voluntary carbon market: We help you to deal with situations of uncertainty and varying perspectives, and thus gain more clarity.
Discussion in the context of your company: You can discuss critical issues in confidence and with experts before making your decisions.

The one to four-day Academy is aimed at supporters from companies and organisations. It is variable in terms of time, and we can budget based on the needs of interested parties.
