Innovate4Climate (I4C), hosted by the World Bank Group, is an annual global conference on climate finance, climate investment and climate markets. Launched in 2017, I4C brings together thought leaders interested in linking climate innovation with investment opportunities – transforming dialogue into action. I4C has positioned itself as the preeminent global event on climate change action and has built a reputation for high quality technical knowledge sharing.
I4C 2024 will bring together the public and private sectors to turn up the volume on innovative climate solutions across finance, markets, policy and technology. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with leaders driving climate ambition, learn about cutting-edge approaches to accelerate climate action, and identify new investors, customers and partners.
The Foundation Development and Climate Alliance is supporting I4C 2024 as a Diamond Sponsor. In this capacity we will be present at the event with an exhibition stand to inform about our work and draw attention to the topics of sustainable development and climate protection worldwide. Moreover, we will be hosting a panel discussion bringing together different stakeholders to elaborate on how companies can be active in the VCM and what opportunities and obstacles this entails:
In the panel discussion on Wednesday, September 11, Anton Tsvetov (Associate Director for Policy at the The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM)), Mayuresh Sarang (Senior Consultant at UNIDO), and other distinguished speakers will discuss the topic, “Limiting the Climate Crisis with Carbon Credits: Private Sector Engagement in the Voluntary Carbon Market.” The panel discussion will be moderated by Peter Renner, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Foundation Development and Climate Alliance.
